Foundation work for Ardersier Port

Sustainable Innovation for Offshore Wind Energy

Located in the Scottish Highlands, the Ardersier Energy Transition Facility is a pioneering project supporting the UK’s renewable energy goals. Bauer Technologies played a key role by constructing a 660 m quay wall, enabling large-scale offshore wind developments. The innovative double diaphragm wall design reached depths of up to 52 m, ensuring long-term stability. Sustainability was a priority: on-site batching plants minimised transportation emissions, and eco-friendly materials reduced the carbon footprint. Advanced 3D modeling and factory-style steel assembly streamlined construction, improving efficiency and precision. Despite complex logistical and environmental challenges, our experts completed the project six weeks ahead of schedule. When completed, the Ardersier facility will stand as a vital hub for offshore wind, showcasing how cutting-edge geotechnical solutions can drive sustainable infrastructure.
